The “Everything Outdoors” Fair Ushers in Spring Season at Fairgrounds
Just about the time the winter doldrums are about to break, the Dickson Farm, Home and Garden Show will be coming to the Dickson County Fairgrounds. The three-day event, presented by the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce, will kick off the spring season from March 8-10.
Dozens of “everything outdoors” booths will showcase a variety of products and local services. Visitors can expect to see and have an opportunity to purchase patio décor, gardening supplies, farming equipment, hunting gear and more. Services may include landscaping, outdoor memberships, consultations and other offerings.
“This is an excellent opportunity for exposure for our local businesses, and we hope they’ll take an advantage of it,” said Pat Reynolds, director of the Chamber’s Leadership Dickson County program. “It will be a one-stop shopping experience for everything pertaining to the great outdoors. We anticipate a large turnout.”
The Chamber is encouraging businesses to sign up in advance for a booth or table. Exhibitors will receive an early-bird 10 percent discount if they reserve space by Nov. 15.
Closer to the show, the Chamber will also be holding a booth contest with categories such as booth originality, best use of space, effective marketing of a company and its products, and booth personnel.
Each booth will have an eight-foot backdrop with three-foot side panels. Tabletop exhibits include a six-foot skirted table. Booth space begins at $300, and table space begins at $25. Dickson County Chamber members receive a $75 discount.
The show takes place from Friday, March 8 through Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Dickson County Fairgrounds, at 1053 Highway 47 East. Event hours are Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 4 p.m.
The fair is open to the public, and admission is $2 per day. Children 12 and under are free. For more information, rules and vendor applications, click here or email email@example.com.
