The “Something for Everyone” March Event Showcases Local Products and Services
DICKSON COUNTY, Tenn.—Nipping at winter’s heels, the Dickson Farm, Home and Garden Show will usher in the shoots of the spring season at the Dickson County Fairgrounds, March 8-10. The three-day event, presented by the Dickson County Chamber of Commerce, is the first of its kind in the area.
Pat Reynolds, secretary of the Chamber’s agriculture committee, said that the organization wants to capitalize on the county’s thriving agricultural and agri-tourism offerings, and to provide guests with an in-depth look at local businesses’ products and services.
“We’ve always had a vibrant farming and outdoors community, and there’s no better place to hold a farm, home and garden show in Middle Tennessee than right here,” she said. “We’re using our rich resources to capture every guest’s attention with this show, whether you’re looking for hard-to-find products or want to pick the brain of an industry expert.”
The one-stop shopping experience for “everything outdoors” will host a sweeping spectrum of exciting retailers, with hundreds of products for the home and garden. Visitors can expect to see and have an opportunity to purchase hunting gear, patio décor, gardening supplies, farming equipment and more.
Industry professionals will also be on hand to discuss services including landscape design, outdoor recreation, agriculture, equestrian and horticulture, among others.
“What’s so unique about the event is the range of people that we’re catering to. It can double as a fun family affair and a professional outing,” Reynolds said. “You can be a 12-year-old boy looking for hunting accessories, a retiree wanting to step up her garden a bit or an agricultural businessman who needs a more versatile product or service.”
Reynolds also said that the event is also structured to provide a relationship-building opportunity for the vendors involved.
The show takes place from Friday, March 8 through Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the Dickson County Fairgrounds, at 1053 Highway 47 East. Event hours are Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from Noon to 4 p.m.
The fair is open to the public, and admission is $2 per day. Children 12 and under are free. For more information, rules and vendor applications, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
